The minimum order is typically dictated by the type of seller you are working with. If you are ordering directly from the manufacturer, their prices will be lower but they will have a higher MOQ.

You can opt to order from a trading company. Trading companies do not make their own products. They work with multiple manufacturers to create products for their clients.

Trading companies have close relationships with their trusted manufacturers because they act as the middleman between the factory and the clients. Trading companies can offer lower MOQs. They also have a larger collection of products because they work with multiple factories. They are, however, more expensive.

The choice of working directly with a manufacturer or trading company depends on whose minimum order is feasible for your business.

• Quality Control

Many of the best pieces of furniture in the world are manufactured in China. Most of the major furniture retail stores in the US source of have their production facilities in China.

To ensure the delivery of top-quality wardrobes, choose a manufacturer that uses advanced production processes, has top-notch quality control systems in place complemented by highly-skilled workers.

To avoid possible problems with quality control, request for a sample before making the actual order. Make sure, too all specifications are in order. You can also hire an inspector to do quality control before your goods are shipped.

The production time of your order is also stipulated in the contract. Production time is not the only thing you will need to deal with when ordering wardrobes from China.

You will need to factor in for the lead time:

1. Sea freight time (the time your shipment is in the waters)
2. The time it will take for your shipment to be loaded at the point of origin
3. The time it will take to unload your shipment at the point of destination.
4. The time it will take to clear customs at the port of destination.
5. The time it will take for the local forwarder to deliver the shipment to your warehouse.

The entire process usually takes about 90 days.

• Initiate a Quotation or Drawing

Provide PA with your design and specifications so they can create an initial drawing, a list of materials, and a quotation.

• Drawing Analysis

Study the drawing forwarded to you by the design team to ensure it is exactly what you have in mind. Make some edits or changes to the design, if necessary.

• Design & Approval

Approve the final 3D design and specifications provided by the design team.

• Sign a Contract

Make sure the design, materials to be used, cost per unit, terms of payment, and delivery schedule are included in the contract.

• Logistical Service

The logistic services provided by the manufacturer should be efficient and in place to ensure the smooth flow of your ordered wardrobe from their factory to your warehouse.

• Installation

If installation is required, it should be included in the contract.
